ย 1. When will I test?/When will my child test?

Students test every three months, but if someone misses too many classes or misses the test, the students will test the following month or take a make-up test. Little Lions test every four months. Because they are so young (Three to five years old and sometimes two and a half), they need a little more time to prepare to test. The tests are usually held on the third and fourth Friday and Saturday of each month. Holidays or closures may affect this.

2. Can my child wear a T-shirt during the test?

Everyone is required to wear a full uniform (any color) during all tests.

3. What color uniform does my child need to wear during the test?

Testers may any color uniform to take the test.

4. When will I receive a stripe? / When will my child receive a stripe?

When someone learns the curriculum properly that person will receive a stripe according to the knowledge learned. Some people may learn slower and need more time to practice; therefore, they take longer to test.

5. What class may my child take?

Students who have a white, yellow, or orange belt may attend any class labeled as Kid Class on the schedule.

Ones who have a green, blue, purple, red, high-red, brown, or high-brown may attend any class labeled as Advanced Class on the schedule. Students who have a red and black or black belt may attend any class labeled on the schedule as Red & Black Belt Class.

On the occasion, some newcomers may accidently attend the wrong class. Sometimes events (held on Friday or Saturday) may affect the schedule; therefore, students may come to other classes. Events are always announced. Sometimes students have a busy schedule and attend the wrong class. The classes are separated according to belt level because more advanced curriculum is taught in the higher belt classes and vice versa for lower belt classes. This also helps children not to feel out of place if they were not able to keep up with the task at hand.

6. How do I learn the curriculum? Is this on the internet? Are you on YouTube?

We have an app that shows all of the hand and kick skills and forms. The videos were made for the children to help them learn and practice at home.

Steps to go on the app and find the curriculum:

Go to MyStudio app, use your email to sign up, when prompted for studio code put in (Ask Master Woo the school code), after logging in click the sandwich menu (three lines), select curriculum.

7. May I pay with a credit card?

All forms of payment are accepted: credit card, debit card, Venmo, cash, check, and auto draft. There is a three percent charge for credit card, debit card, auto draft, Venmo payments.

8. Do I need to wear a full uniform? Does my child need to wear a full uniform?

Everyone, adult and child alike, have the option to wear the full uniform or the uniform pants and a Lion Martial Arts Taekwondo T-shirt (black, blue, and white). T-shirts can be bought from us (Lion Martial Arts Taekwondo).

I hope this information helps students navigate our school and answers all the questions students may have.
