โI love Teakwondo. It taught my daughter a lot of things, and I love the fact that she has the best teacher, Master Woo. He is great with all the kids. And you can see he really loves his job.โ

โMaster Woo! You are hundreds of miles away and she still looks up to you. For that I am grateful for you. You have made her life so much better by bringing her the love of discipline and self-defense you are awesome!โ

"Five and a half years ago at the playground Keegan spotted a bunch of kids from a taekwondo summer camp. Curious as ever, he went over and talked to them and thus began our journey with taekwondo. Our family has been changed in countless positive ways by taekwondo. Most of the friends we've made after we moved were made through our involvement with taekwondo and now they're like family. My kids have learned lessons in perseverance, self-control, respect, kindness, hard work and resilience."

A new school year often means new schedules, new friends, and new after-school activities. With so many options available, it’s important for children — and parents — to pause and ask: “Is this something I truly want to do, or something someone else expects of me?” Learning to recognize and follow one’s own emotions builds confidence, self-awareness, and responsibility — qualities that last a lifetime.
One of the best ways for children to explore their own decisions is through physical activities. Sports and movement-based programs give children a hands-on experience of setting goals, testing their limits, and feeling the results of their own effort. Because these activities engage the whole body, they also help children develop coordination, balance, and endurance that prepare them for other pursuits like soccer, basketball, wrestling, or any other sport they may try in the future.
Taekwondo, as one example, offers a unique blend of full-body movement and strong values. Beyond practicing techniques, children are introduced to principles of respect, courtesy, and self-control — lessons they carry outside the training hall into school, home, and their communities. When a child chooses Taekwondo for themselves, not because someone told them to, the experience becomes a powerful tool for personal growth and self-discipline.
By helping children select activities based on their own interests and emotions, parents empower them to develop ownership over their choices. Whether it’s Taekwondo or another sport, this self-driven approach lays a foundation for confidence, physical health, and respectful behavior — skills that benefit children far beyond the classroom.
