"Five and a half years ago at the playground Keegan spotted a bunch of kids from a taekwondo summer camp. Curious as ever, he went over and talked to them and thus began our journey with taekwondo. Our family has been changed in countless positive ways by taekwondo. Most of the friends we've made after we moved were made through our involvement with taekwondo and now they're like family. My kids have learned lessons in perseverance, self-control, respect, kindness, hard work and resilience."

🥋 The Most Meaningful Stripe: The White Stripe
Among all the stripes our students earn, one stands out above the rest: the White Stripe – Home Behavior.
Yes, kicks, forms, and sparring skills are important.
But what truly shapes a child’s character is how they behave and grow at home.
The White Stripe isn’t about technique. It’s a promise to work on personal character and everyday discipline.
Students write down behaviors they want to improve at home, and once they successfully follow through, they become eligible to test.
Until now, we’ve mostly relied on trust—but starting next year, we will implement a more structured verification system because character development must come before martial arts technique.
📱 The Challenge: Screen Time Is Taking Over
During testing reviews, one concern consistently comes up from parents:
Excessive screen time.
Phones, gaming devices, tablets, TV— these are consuming much of our children’s time.
Even more concerning is that many students aren’t practicing taekwondo at home at all.
The difference between students who practice regularly and those who don’t is dramatic and obvious. Just a few minutes of practice each day creates tremendous improvement over time.
🎁 Our Solution: A New Reward System
To help our students build healthier habits, we created a new reward system.
When students:
*Reduce screen time
*practice taekwondo at home
*Demonstrate improved behavior
and send us photos or videos as proof, we will review them and reward their effort with taekwondo wristbands.
This small recognition can spark motivation, pride, and long-term habits.
🦁 We Teach More Than Martial Arts
Our mission goes beyond punches and kicks.
We aim to build:
*Respect
*Discipline
*Responsibility
*Self-control
Real taekwondo is not just performed on the mat—
it is lived at home, at school, and in daily life.
Let’s continue working together to help our students grow not only as martial artists, but as strong, responsible individuals.
See you on the mat!
Let’s build better habits—and brighter futures—together.
