I heard surprising news. In Korea, three-year-old children are sent to schools to learn English. Of course, it is the period of fastest absorption, so you can build the basics of pronunciation and English skills, but it causes stress on children and the tuition fee is about $1,500 - $2,000 per month.

Perhaps their own satisfaction takes priority over loving their children.ย

I recommend martial arts to anyone who is wondering what to do to educate their children.ย
There is a Korean proverb that says, โ€œThe habits of a 3-year-old last 80 years.โ€ It's an old proverb, but why did they specifically say it starts from age 3?ย

During the first three years of life, the brain grows at an astonishing rate (equivalent to 80% of adult life) and forms โ€œconnections.โ€ By the age of 3, the brain has formed about 1,000 trillion functional connections, which is twice as many as an adult. This connection is very important for a child's healthy growth and development.

At our school, children can start exercising as young as 3 years old. It takes time to first teach order and discipline to children, but eventually children learn order, posture, and respect.

Enrolling a three-year-old in taekwondo classes can have numerous benefits for their physical, emotional, and social development. Here are some reasons why taekwondo can be great for a three-year-old:

1. Improves gross motor skills: Taekwondo helps develop fundamental movement skills like kicking, punching, jumping, and balance.

2. Enhances coordination and agility: Taekwondo training improves overall coordination, agility, and flexibility.

3. Develops discipline and focus: Taekwondo classes teach children to listen, follow instructions, and focus on tasks.

4. Boosts confidence and self-esteem: Learning new skills and achieving small goals can greatly enhance a child's confidence and self-esteem.

5. Introduces basic self-defense skills: Taekwondo teaches children basic self-defense techniques, which can help them feel safer and more empowered.

6. Encourages socialization and friendship: Taekwondo classes provide a fun and interactive environment for children to make new friends and develop social skills.

7. Prepares for future martial arts training: Starting taekwondo at a young age can lay the foundation for future martial arts training and a lifelong appreciation for the sport.
